Wrinkles In The Air VI: Life is a Circle

Wrinkles In The Air VI: Life Is A Circle

This year, SMU Chamber Choir is collaborating once again with the SYC Ensemble Singers in another heartwarming performance, Wrinkles In The Air VI: Life Is a Circle, the latest instalment of the SMU Chamber Choir’s annual Wrinkles in the Air series of concerts. The concert is also part of the choir’s fund-raising efforts for their upcoming participation in the International Choir Festival Mundus Cantat Sopot 2013 in Poland.

In commemorating the circle, the choir will perform some of their all-time favorites such as Ummah Sallih, Didn’t it rain, Meplalian and Tunggare. The circle moves along from Northern Lights and Abendlied, to folklore, Ima Kokoni and 牧歌 in its repertoire. Under the baton of Jennifer Tham, the conductor of both the SMU Chamber Choir and the SYC Ensemble Singers, the choir will dazzle audiences with the evocative rhythms, subtle harmonies, and beautiful melodies. Wrinkles in the Air VI: Life is a Circle will be a night to remember.

Tickets are sold at $18 per entry. Click on the poster to purchase your tickets now!

Or email chamberchoir@sa.smu.edu.sg for any enquires :)

We look forward to seeing you there!

Our 7th Exco!

7th Exco Photoshoot {SMUCC}

Introducing the 7th Exco of SMU Chamber Choir! Welcome to the family :)

    Meet…

Fiona

Fiona, our president!

A self-proclaimed shopaholic, Fiona adds fabulousness and sass in whatever situation she is put in.  Although never having been in a choir before, her passion for singing has driven her to put in the best for the choir. Choir has been a magical and “totzamazeballs” experience and one she will never forget.

Meet…
Chuin Chi

Chuin Chi, our vice-president!

Along with singing in a choir, Chuin Chi’s passion is also to travel around the world! She also loves chit-chatting ALL the time, hence it is really difficult for her to keep quiet during choir practices, especially when lovely friends are all around her!

Meet…

ryanRyan, our student conductor!

Ryan has about 10 years of choral experience and has helped to conduct the SMU Chamber Choir since 2010. A current final year undergraduate of the School of Accountancy, he continues to seek rewards through the endless journey of music-making and believes the choir has provided a great platform for aspiring musicians. He has also been an active pianist since childhood.

Meet…

Magdalene

 Magdalene, our secretary!

Magdalene is a 2nd year Economics Student. Committing to a CCA was impossible to her until she found the SMU Chamber Choir! She has found herself to be passionate and enthusiastic about singing in a choir. She loves to sing (of course!), sleep and watch dramas! Being well known for spamming the news feed on Facebook with blogshop photos, Magdalene is obviously a shopaholic!

Meet…

Kimberly

Kimberly, our logistics director!

Kimberly is outgoing, optimistic and passionate in singing. In the past, singing was simply a way of relaxation for her but now Chamber Choir has made singing even more meaningful. This is why she is grateful for having the opportunity to serve Chamber Choir – her singing family.

Meet…

Jane

Jane, our logistics director!

Jane is a Year 1 Social Science student and a Soprano 2. On top of enjoying the simplicity life offers, she loves eating and going to the karaoke with friends. While being great at handling events, she hopes to be a wedding planner in the future.

Meet…

Calise

Calise, our finance director!

She is not a Cowgirl but she loves to watch those Wild West Movies, really fascinated with those gun fights. Apart from that, Calise is a foodie, loves to eat, do not mind exotic food and can’t do meals without spices. (though she knows it’s bad for the throat) Motto that she lives with is “Just Keep Swimming” – Dory from Nemo

Meet…

Genell

Genell, our marketing director!

Apart from singing, she has a huge passion for cooking. What sets her apart is her culinary motto “Cooking is about improvisation”. Similarly to music, she likes to do covers and compose her own songs. To achieve the best of both worlds …you guessed it! A scrumptious dinner complimenting great music will totally make her night.
